The workshop will explore the different kinds of joints and mechanisms that can transform a puppet into one which is a pleasure to manipulate.
Mark will look at tried and tested mechanisms and joints, which have been used in the world of puppet making and will explore the advantages and disadvantages of these methods.
The participants will also focus on the work of Hansjurgen Fettig whose book Rod Puppets and Table Top Puppets was a huge influence in the puppet making community.
Participants are encouraged to bring along their own puppets to share ideas and discover new ways of manipulating and working the puppet.
